Live & backline
For bands,
not just parties.
Backline, microphones and monitoring for live acts — solo artist, duo, three-piece, five-piece or a full live setup. The gear a band needs is different to the gear a DJ night needs, and so is the way it gets set up.
What we carry for live acts
Guitar and bass rigs, keyboards and DI boxes, drum and percussion microphones, vocal microphones, stage mixers and in-ear monitoring systems. Tell us the line-up and we will tell you what is missing from what the venue already has, rather than quoting a package that duplicates it.
Monitoring is what the band actually feels
An audience hears the front-of-house system; the band hears the monitors, and that is what decides whether they play well. In-ear monitoring gives each performer their own mix and keeps the stage quiet, which makes the room easier to control. Wedges still make sense for some acts. Which one suits you depends on the band and the venue, and it is worth deciding before the day.
Line checks take time — plan for it
A five-piece band with a miked kit is a lot of inputs, and each one has to be checked and set. That is not something to start when guests are arriving. We will tell you how long the line check needs for your line-up so it can be built into the schedule rather than squeezed into it.
With or without a DJ
Many events run a live set and then a DJ. That handover is a point where sound usually goes wrong — different sources, different levels, a gap while someone repatches. We plan it in advance. Amit plays himself, so if you want both from one place, that works too.
Questions.
Yes. If the venue already has a PA, we can supply only the backline, microphones and monitoring you are missing.
Yes. We size the backline, microphones and monitoring to the line-up, from a solo artist to a full live setup.
