About
Twenty-five years
behind the decks.
Sound Impulse is owned and run by Amit Punjabi, who has been DJing in Mumbai for twenty-five years. The rental business grew out of the job — he knows what a room needs because he has had to play in it.
He still plays.
Amit started behind the decks and never stopped. He takes DJ bookings himself, so the person specifying your sound has stood in front of the same kind of crowd you are hiring for. Over the years that turned into supplying the gear and the crew as well — first for his own shows, then for everyone else’s.
Gear, not adjectives.
Every rental company says it uses good equipment, so here is the list instead: RCF line arrays and subwoofers, JBL and Mackie speakers, Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 decks with a DJM-900NXS2 mixer, Allen & Heath Qu-32 consoles and Shure wireless microphones — plus lighting, trussing and backline. It is checked before it leaves and it arrives when it is supposed to. See the full catalogue.
What people actually say.
Sound Impulse holds 5.0 from 16 Google reviews. Read them and you notice they name Amit rather than the equipment — punctual, professional, and the person who finds a solution when something goes wrong on the day. Read them on Google.
